Construction of common valve cover oil leakage in

The valve cover gasket, in simple terms, is the "little hat" of the engine. Its task is to firmly seal the engine lubricating oil inside, preventing it from leaking out. It is usually made of composite rubber, together with an oil pan gasket, to ensure that the lubricating oil does not run around when the engine is running.
If the valve cover gasket starts to leak oil, it cannot be delayed and needs to be repaired as soon as possible. Its main function is to prevent oil leakage. The original valve cover gasket is mostly made of rubber, which will inevitably age and harden over time, and oil leakage may occur at this time. However, when repairing, it can also be replaced with aluminum, which is more durable.
If the valve cover gasket leaks oil, you will see many traces of oil near the side of the engine top. Over time, if the engine oil drips onto the exhaust pipe, it will still burn and emit a burnt smell. At this point, it is even more important to deal with it as soon as possible.
